Retinitis Pigmentosa

Retinitis Pigmentosa is an inherited, degenerative eye disease that can cause severe vision impairment and sometimes blindness. It may not progress consistent. Some people will exhibit symptoms from infancy, others may not notice symptoms until later in life. Generally, the later the onset, the more rapid is the deterioration in sight.

Those who do not have RP have 90 degree peripheral vision, while some people who have RP have less than 90 degrees. Please contact your local Palm Beach Eye Center and schedule an eye exam at least once a year.
