Retina and Vitreoretinal Services

content-retinaThe eye care professionals at Palm Beach Eye Center treat disorders related to the retina (the light-sensitive layer of tissues at the back of the inner eye), the vitreous (a gel-like substance connected to the retina and the eye’s lens), and the macula (located in the middle of the retina that is responsible for central vision). Problems with any of these parts of the eye can cause different levels of vision loss, including blindness.

Palm Beach Eye Center uses state-of-the-art diagnostics and the latest procedures to treat a variety of disorders such as retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis.  We provide all the modern FDA treatments available, and at the same time maintain a conservative approach for safety to the patient.

To protect from infection, we use aseptic (sterile) procedures second to none.  All instruments are triple sterilized that begins with chemical sterilization, autoclaved, then sealed individually in sterile packs.  Further, we run our sterilizers through controls regularly to make sure our standards are the best.

We are available for consultations and second opinions for most any retinal disorder.
