Amblyopia

There is a more recognizable name for Amblyopia which is commonly called lazy eye. The loss and lack of development of the central vision in one eye not stemming from any other eye health problems. Amblyopia sometimes develops at a young age for some (some as early as 5 or 6 years old) and common symptoms are crossed eyes or a large degree of variation in the strength of each eye. This may contribute in being reliant on a one eye.

A series of different treatments may help such as prescription lenses, eye patches, vision therapy can benefit with treating lazy eye.Early detection and treatment are key to effectively treating this condition. Do not plan on Amblyopia correcting on its own as it will require professional treatment.
